CHEMICAL THERMODYNAMICS AND PHASE RULE

There is a great importance and usefulness that stimulates us to pub-lish a series of books in basic sciences; Physics, Mathematics, Chemis-try, Biology, Engineering, Pharmacy, Medicines, “. etc.
This series is intended to the undergraduate students of basic sciences in Faculties of Science, Medicine, Pharmacy, Engineering, Agriculture, etc“
The publisher plans to include, in each book of this series, a part about questions and problems at the end of each chapter, in addition to ta-bles, appendices and a list of references. This will enable the student to gain more knowledge and clarify things.
The publisher hopes that this series will be beneficial for the students and play a great role in the development of a basic scientific knowledge to the readers both students and lecturers.
This book ŒChemical Thermodynamics and Phase Rule˜ is the second issue in this series and intended for students, who are required to study the Thermal, Dynamic Chemistry and Phase Rule. The book is concerned in building a strong foundation in the Chemical thermody-namic and its principle. Attention is being given to practical applica-tions and solved examples.
This book includes ten chapters, consisting of two main parts: The first part has six chapters, starting with an introduction to thermodynamic, thermodynamics systems and processes, first law of thermodynamics, and its applications, thermo chemistry, entropy and the second law of thermodynamics and the last chapter of this part, entitled in ŒThe third law of thermodynamic and free energy˜. The second part is con-taining the remain four chapters as following: Phase Rule – Introduc-tion to phase rule, One component-systems, Two components-systems and Three components systems.
To help the students, the book deals with the principles of all inter-ested fields of thermo chemistry & Phase Rule, hoping that it will be useful and sufficient, particularly, for students who specialize in chem-istry.
This book ŒChemical Thermodynamics and Phase Rule˜ shows the students, not only, how to understand the interrelated content of the included subjects, but also how to master it.
